
On Saturday
and Sunday
the Sarnia
FC was host
to the
Waters Edge
Classic
Tournament
held at the
Bluewater
Bridge
Fields.
The
tournament
was for ages
U8, U9 &
U10.
This was the
third year
for the
tournament
and the
first year
for the U8
Division.
A total of
24 teams
participated
that
included six
teams from
Sarnia FC.
Teams came
from
Brantford,
Woodstock,
London,
Windsor,
Belle River,
Dorchester,
Byron,
LaSalle,
Chatham and
Wallaceburg.
Sarnia Black
U8 and
Sarnia
Arsenal U10
were the
only teams
that made it
to the semi
finals.
Sarnia Black
were shut
out 2 - 0 by
Woodstock
and Sarnia
Arsenal were
defeated by
German
Canadian 3 -
1.
In
the U8
Division
Belle River
defeated
Woodstock
Rangers 7 -
3 to take
home the
Championships.
Oakridge
Thunder took
a 3 - 1 win
over
Brantford
City Thunder
to win the
U9 Title and
the U10
title went
to Brantford
Galaxy
edging out
German
Canadian FC
Firebolts by
a score of 2
- 1.

a lot of
positive
feedback"

Tournament

Dean Troiani
"weather
conditions
were good,
the fields
were dry due
to lack of
rain but the
location is
perfect.
The
Bluewater
Bridge
Fields is a
beautiful
location to
hold this
event and to
showcase our
community.
