Oakridge Thunder defeated Brantford for U9 Title at Waters Edge Classic in Sarnia

Oakridge Thunder defeated Caboto 6 - 0 in their first game and went on and took a 3 - 1 win over the Dorchester Jets.  The Woodstock Stallions tied the Thunder in a scoreless match in game three and went on and took a 1 - 0 win against Norwest in semi final play to earn a spot in the finals.

Brantford tied Norwest 2 - 2, defeated Sarnia FC Barcelona 1 - 0 and shut down Taxandria in a 10 - 0 win in round robin play.  In the semi finals they shut out Woodstock 3 - 0 to move on to the finals.

In the final game against the both sides went back and forth in an exciting match but the Oakridge Thunder came out ahead with a final score of 3 - 1 to take the U9 Title.  Scoring in the win were Graham MacMillan with 2 goals and a single by Jonathan Palarchio.  Logan Laush scored the single goal for Brantford.
