Prior to immigrating to Canada in 1956 Wall broke the German record for the 4 x 200m breast stroke in 1954.

Swam competitively in Alberta in 100m and 200m breast stroke.  In 1958 won the Alberta Championship in the 100m.
 

Competed in 13 Provincials, 8 Nationals and 1 World Championship
