This past weekend in Saskatoon, Sask.
7 members of the Sarnia Bluewater Wrestling Club
participated at the Canadian Juvenile and Cadet age
group National Championships.
Darby Huckle, a grade 10 student at
St Clair was a double champion, winning the National
Freestyle Championships and then the FILA Cadet age
group National Team Trials. She now qualifies to
represent Canada at the Junior Pan American
Championships in San Salvador in July.
Trever Huckle placed 4th in
Freestyle and 2nd at the National Team Trials and is 1st
alternate for the Junior Pan Ams.
Also wrestling were:
Charlene Brown, Tyler Sole, Carson
Thompson, Mandy LaPointe and Troy Huckle
All of these wrestlers have
qualified to compete at the Canada Cup of International
Wrestling Under 18 event in July.
