Grand Glorious with pair of late goals in win over Guelph

Sept. 19: York 1 Western 0 / Sept. 20: Western 2 Guelph 1

The Western Mustangs scored two late goals to defeat the Guelph Gryphons 2-1 on Sept. 20 after a 1-0 loss to York on Sept. 19.

With only 17 minutes left in the game on Sept. 20 at Alumni Stadium in Guelph, Western scored their first goal when Erin Grand scored into the top corner. She added her second with seven minutes remaining, breaking through Gryphons defence once again for the game-winning tally.

Western (2-2-0) hosts Brock on Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. at the Greek Hellenic Centre in south London, before hosting McMaster at TD Waterhouse Stadium on Sunday Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.
