named to the
ESPN The
Magazine
Academic
All-District
V Second
Team on
Thursday,
the College
Sports
Information
Directors of
America (CoSIDA)
announced.
Beach
leads the
Hoosiers
with 13
points on
the year and
is tied for
the team
lead with
five
assists. She
has played
all 16 games
this year
for Indiana,
who sits at
10-4-2 on
the year and
is one of
the key
players in
the
offensive
third of the
field for
the
Hoosiers.
Beach
carries a
3.3+
grade-point
average and
is working
towards a
degree as a
Fitness
Specialist.
She is the
seventh
Hoosier to
receive this
honor since
2002. |
To be nominated, a
student-athlete must be
a starter or important
reserve with at least a
3.30 cumulative grade
point average (on a 4.0
scale) at his current
institution. Nominated
athletes must have
participated in at least
50 percent of the team's
games at the position
listed and no
student-athlete is
eligible until he has
completed one full
calendar year at his
current institution and
has reached sophomore
athletic eligibility.
Beach and the Hoosiers
are back in action on
Sunday at Ohio State,
starting at 1 p.m. The
final home game for the
women's soccer team will
be on Tuesday, Nov. 3,
against arch-rival
Purdue with a 7 p.m.
kickoff.
