In the
second half, Indiana was
able to get six more shots
towards the goal but none of
them were able to find the
back of the net. Carly Samp
had all three of her shots
in the second half,
including a good opportunity
as the half came to a close
that forced Haley Kopmeyer
to make a save.
Campbell
was forced into action in
the 83rd minute,
as she made two saves in
succession as Michigan
mounted a counter attack
looking for the go-ahead
goal.
In the
overtime sessions, the teams
played even statistically as
Campbell and Kopmeyer both
made one save apiece to
preserve the tie, and
Campbell's seventh shutout
of the year, which is tied
for the second-most in a
single season by an IU
goalkeeper. The
single-season record is
eight, set by Ashley Davis
in 1998.
The
Hoosiers return home next
Sunday, Oct. 25 for a
meeting with Iowa at
Armstrong Stadium starting
at 2 p.m.
