WINDSOR ON; The Sarnia Sting
celebrated Thanksgiving with a come
from behind overtime win over the
Windsor Spitfires in OHL Action.
The Sting found themselves down 2 -
0 after giving up two goals in the
first then early in the second
period Windsor scored their 3rd goal
leaving the Sting in a claw back
situation.
Ryan Kujawinski scored for the Sting
at 15:57 with Alex Basso and Nail
Yakupov assisting. Kujawinski
sparked the team with his second
goal with just :38 seconds
remaining in the period.
Taylor Carnevale and Alex Basso
assisted on the second goal.
In the third period Nickolas Latta
tied things up for the Sting with
Yakupov and Basso assisting.
The third period ended with both
sides even with 3 apiece.
It
took just 2:29 minutes of OT play
for Domenic Alberga to score the
winning goal. Yakupov and
Daniel Broussard assisted on the OT
winner.
The
Sting are back in action this
Upcoming weekend with two home
games, the first on Friday Oct 14
against Saginaw and on Saturday Oct
15 against Plymouth.
