The Jr. Vikings
football team continued their winning ways this
afternoon with a 56-0 win over a hard-fighting
SCITS squad.The Vikings struck early when
Matt Klaudi returned the opening kickoff for a
touchdown. Paul Kaija kicked the extra point.
Moments later, Curtis Robichaud took the ball
on a 30 yard run into the endzone and Kaijia's
extra point made it through the uprights.
Curtis Epps added a major of his own later in
the opening quarter. Kaija kicked the extra
point.
Still in the 1st, the Vikings' Eliot Handy
added a major and Jeremy Vanderveen intercepted
a SCITS pass for a touchdown of his own. Kyle
Ross caught a pass and ran the ball in for a
touchdown to end the half. Kaija was good with
all three extra points.
The Vikings led 42-0 at the half.
The Vikings added two more touchdowns in the
2nd half, one from Jawon Burns and another from
Devon Laird. Kaija made good on both extra
points in the 2nd half.
The game ended with the Vikings on top, 56-0.
Broderick Webster played a solid defensive
game for the Vikings. Tiger Hernandez was an
offensive standout for the Vikings in the 2nd
half.
The Vikings are through to the playoffs,
beginning Thursday, October 29th.
