Sting Acquire Goaltender From
Kingston
John Cullen Joins The Sting
Sarnia, On –
General Manager Dave MacQueen announced the
Sarnia Sting Hockey Club has acquired
goaltender John Cullen from the Kingston
Frontenacs.
In exchange the Frontenacs
will receive the Sting’s 7th
round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority
Selection.
Cullen a native of Hamburg,
New York appeared in 16 games with the
Frontenacs last season and was originally a
draft pick of the Niagara Ice Dogs. A key
stat of Cullen’s last season was an
outstanding .919 save percentage.
Dave MacQueen is looking
forward to a competitive training camp in
net.

it adds depth to our goaltending position
and we now have a handful of goaltenders who
will be competing for the two spots
available. They each have the same
opportunity and the ones who perform the
best will be the ones who make our club.”
The Sting open their 2010
Training Camp on Tuesday August 31st
at the RBC Centre. A full training camp
schedule will be released next week.
