Two Players Released. Injury Updates
Sarnia, ON –
The Sarnia Sting have announced some
roster news and notes prior to taking on the Oshawa
Generals on Friday night in the team’s Season Opener at
the SSEC.
Head Coach and General Manager Dave
MacQueen announced that the team has released forwards
Marcus Pepe and Chris Beauchamp. MacQueen will now
explore avenues to accommodate a trade for both players.
“Marcus and Chris are quality individuals
and this was a tough decision. However they did not fit
into our plans moving forward and we will do all we can
to find them a place to play within the league.”
The team also announced the following
injury information:
Defenceman Daniel Broussard is out with
an upper body injured suffered in the first pre-season
game on September 3rd in Windsor.
The second-year defenceman will undergo a
surgical procedure and is expected to be out of the
line-up 6 to 8 weeks.
Also goaltender Jesse Raymond (illness)
is listed as day to day and will be a game-time
decision.
If Raymond can not dress then the Sting
will have Lambton Sting Midget Goaltender Darren
Foubister on hand.
