Taibi
is the
first woman to represent her country
in shooting for Malaysia. The
Malaysian shooter competed while
being eight months pregnant.
While others have competed while
they were pregnant Nur Surani is the
first to compete so close to her due
date. She ask the baby not to
kick while she shot. Nur Suryani was
unable to book her place in the
final of the women's 10m air rifle
when she was eliminated in the
qualification round on the first
morning of the London Games.
She placed 37th at the Olympics.
Nur Suryani is ranked 47th in the
world and won a gold medal at the
2010 Commonwealth Games and a bronze
at the Asian Games in the same year.
