- Sarnia Braves Bantams defeated Stratford Indians 8
to 4 this afternoon in the AA Ontario Baseball
Association Championship final held at Brantford.
It was the
seventh game Sarnia won on the weekend. Sarnia had
defeated Stratford in an earlier game in the double
knock-out style tournament by the score of 10 to 2.
However in the morning game today Sarnia suffered
their first and only loss to Stratford 4-2 making
the game necessary this afternoon.
Jesse
Marks pitched for the win with support from Tyler
Groulx and Sam Ellenor. The team coached by Brian
Pavey supported one another very well throughout the
weekend from those who pitched to the big hitters to
the role players from the bench
