Lambton Shores, ON – Finishing off their third game in four days, the Lambton Shores Predators lost their undefeated home record after a 7-4 loss to St. Marys Sunday night.

Lambton Shores had the early lead after the first period, with Brendon Merritt and Ryan Rotundi each scoring a powerplay goal as the Predators took the 2-0 lead after the first.

In the second, St. Marys would take the lead in just under six minutes. Reid Oliver opened the scoring for the Lincolns, following by Mike Mandarelli ten seconds after, tying the game at 2-2. Bryan McCauley would put the Lincolns ahead three minutes later.

But the Predators would resort back to their powerplay to retake the lead, as Rotundi and Merritt each got their second goals of the game on the powerplay, putting the Predators up 4-3 after two periods.

But much like the second, St. Marys would reply with three quick goals in six minutes. Mitch McIntosh would score 1:14 into the third, followed by Mitchell Berzines and Sean Consitt to retake the lead 6-4. McCauley would add a shorthanded goal later in the period to put the game away with a 7-4 victory.

Brandon Campbell had the start for the Predators and made 37 saves in the loss.

Lambton Shores is now 2-2-0 on the season and will take on London on Wednesday followed by a trip to Sarnia to take on the Legionnaires on Thursday.
