 After
a scoreless first quarter, the Vikings
jumped out to a 2nd quarter lead at the 8:00
minute mark when Kobe Lundy kept the ball on
a fake field goal attempt and ran into the
end zone. The extra point was wide. Just
over a minute later, Lundy scored another
major on a quarterback keeper from 35 yards
out. The Vikings made good on a 2 point
conversion. Before the half, the Vikings
added a third major, this time on a Lundy
pass to Erich Maxfield
. Mason Kett made the
extra point. The score was 21-0 at the
half.
The 2nd half saw three more majors from the
Vikings. Mitchell Smiley scored from 50
yards out, Mitchell Perkins on a 30 yard
run, and Matt Withers from the quarterback
position. Mason Kett made good on one of
the extra point attempts, leaving the final
score Vikings 40, Irish 0. Special mention
to Ramone Bustillo and Mason Kett on the
defensive side of the ball.
