
Thanksgiving Weekend saw the Sarnia
Hockey House League Atom division open
their season sporting a new look
courtesy of McDonalds. McDonald's
Canada is providing participating teams
with a full set of pro-style jerseys and
socks.
Game 1
In Game one Team 2 defeated Team 1 in a
high scoring final of 12 - 4. Top
point getters for Team 1 earning a total
of 5 points each were Owen Dunn with a
total of 4 goals and an assist and
Zack Bressette with 3 goals and 2
assists. Alex Dafoe scored 2 goals
and singles by Parker Van, Conner Post
and Owen Kershaw. Assisting on
goals were Jimmy Bennett, Tyler Kraz,
Zac Bedard and Nate Paquette.
Blake Hogan earned the win in net for
Team 1.
Scoring
for Team 1 were Logan Watson, Sterling
George and Jake Martin with a pair.
Game 2
In the
second game of the day Team 3 shut out
Team 4 by a score of 2 - 0. Both
sides went scoreless in the first period
and halfway into the second Tairen
Snauwaert scored the first goal of the
season assisted by Dawson Howes and Seth
Kember. With just :34 seconds
remaining in the period Gavin Storozuk
scored the second goal assisted by Liam
Robinson. In the third both sides
went end to end being but were unable to
add to the scoreboard. Earning the
shutout win in net for Team 3 was Durham
Langille. Honourable mention to
Blake Hogan in net for Team 4 with 2
scoreless periods.
Game 3
In game 3
Team 5 and Team 6 met for the first time
with Team 6 coming out on top with a
final score of 7 - 3.

Game 4
In the final game of the day
it was a close contest between Team 7 -
8 as the final score was 7 - 6 with Team
8 finishing on top with the win.
Both sides were even with 1 apiece after
the first period. Team 7 took a 1
goal lead after the second period
scoring 3 goals with Team 8 scoring 2.
Score after two periods of play 4 - 2
for Team 7.
In the
third period both sides went back and
forth. Team 6 tied things up then
took the lead only to have Team 5 answer
back with a goal. Team 8 then
regained the lead and with 1:11 left on
the clock however Team 7 fought back and
tied the game once again. As the
seconds were counting down Team 8 scored
with just :23 seconds remaining and held
on for their first win of the season.
Josh
scored the game winner for Team 8 and
also 2 goals for a hattrick.
Brandon scored a goal and an assist.
Jaxon and Noah each scored singles.
Assisting on goals were Braydon, Brandon
and Trevor.
Team 7
goal scorers were Ethan Pereira with 2
goals and an assist and with Kaden
Babcock with a pair and an assist.
Singles by Micheal Colton and Ryan
Mosses who also assisted on 2 goals.
Assisting on goals were Eric Armitage
with 3 asssits and Mark Barsoum.
