In OFSSA
Boys Golf at Trillium Wood in
Belleville Dan Bowling of SCITS
posted rounds of 70 and 73 to finish
in a tie for 3rd place with Josh
Whalen of Napanee. The
leaders, Osama Khan of Appleby and
Paul Doig of Central Huron, posted
136.
In a
playoff Dan went left into trees and
struggled to get his ball out. He
showed his character by finishing
with a chip-in, but it wasn't enough
to force a second hole.
In the
first place playoff Doig struggled
with those same left-side trees,
allowing Khan to take the provincial
title.
In team
action the LCCVI team of Derek
Hinchcliffe, Derek Morden, Connor
Mathers and Luke Stevens, finished
at 498. This placed them 14th, with
London Saunders winning at 450.
This
concludes a fantastic season for
Lambton high school golfers.
