Minor Midget AAA Sting get shut out by Chiefs

Sarnia, ON – The Lambton AAA Jr. Sting Minor Midget's were shut out Tuesday night as they hosted the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs at the RBC Centre.

The Chiefs were able to score in each period, as Brook Hiddink scored at the 9:49 mark of the first period and Sam Vokes scored next the end of the second period. Keaton McIntyre would add the empty net goal, as Elgin took it 3-0.

Cornel Felder had the start for the Sting and made 24 saves in the loss, while Coleman McDonald made all 24 saves for his third shutout of the season.

With the loss, the Minor Midgets now sit at a 6-6-2 record and are in third place in the West Division.
