Forest, ON – The losing streak has reached nine
games for the Lambton Shores Predators, after a 4-1
loss to the St. Marys Lincolns Saturday night in
Lambton Shores.
After no
scoring in the first period, Kyle Brothers found the
first goal of the game for the Predators on the
powerplay to give them a 1-0 lead.
But they
would not be able to escape the period with the
lead, as Calvin Penney would score with 15 seconds
remaining to knot the game at 1-1 after two periods
of play.
In the
third period, St. Marys would score three unanswered
goals, as Reid Oliver put the Lincolns in front with
his early third period goal, followed by Brady
Wiffen and Mitchell Berzins who each scored a minute
and a half a part to make it a 4-1 victory.
The
Predators outshot St. Marys 13-9 in both the first
and second period, but couldn't find the back of the
net 5 on 5.
"To win,
we just need to stay focused and play together as a
team" said Head Coach Mark Davis.
The
Predators next game is October 29th vs London. 7:30
at the Shores Recreation Centre.
