Sarnia, ON – SMAA football had the Atom division competing Wednesday night, as all four teams were in action, with the ShockWave and Inferno picking up close victories.

The ShockWave defeated the Razor Claws 22-14, picking up 16 points in the first half. Caden Cormier dove in from the 4 yard line for the first score, and while Zachary Trembly kicked the covert for the extra two points. Carter Baron scored on his own 4 yard touchdown run later in the half with Trembly again making the covert.

Isaac Kiddran had the lone score for the Razor Claws in the first half off a long 32 yard touchdown run, yet the Razor Claws would still trail 16-6 after the first half.

But the Razor Claws would not be able to cover the remained of the score, as the ShockWave go on to the 22-14 victory.

In the second game, the Inferon edged out the Iron Hides by a touchdown, with a 20-14 victory.

Ethan Kerby had the Inferno's first touchdown on a 45 yard run on the first play of the game to give the Inferno a 6- lead. Kerby would add a second touchdown on a 30 yard run later in the half for his second score. Jaxon Lucas would answer Kerby's long runs with a 35 yard run of his own for the Iron Hides, but the Inferno would still lead 12-6 after the first half.

In the second half, Kerby would add his third touchdown with a 25 yard run, going over the 100 yard mark on rushing touchdowns. The Iron Hides would get a score from Avery Smiley who ran it for 7 yards and also added two on the convert, but the Inferno would add a safety, and take the game 20-14.
