Lambton
Shores, ON - The Lambton Shores Predators could not
extend their winning streak to three games after a
close 3-2 loss to the Leamington Flyers Saturday
night at home.
Lambton
Shores lead after the first period as Sam Jasmin
picked up his third of the season 2:39 into the game
to make it 1-0 for the Predators.
Leamington
would tie it quickly in the second, as 52 seconds
into the period, Tony Spidalieri made it 1-1. Both
teams were tied through two periods in shots at 22
each.
In the
third Corey Pawley would get his first as a Predator
in his first game with Lambton Shores 1:40 into the
period to retake the lead for Lambton Shores. But
the Predators would fall into penalty trouble which
would result in a powerplay goal by Mitchell Amante
to tie things back up.
41 seconds
later, Eric Leardi would put Leamington in front for
the first time in the game, and it would be all they
would need, as the Flyers would hold on for the 3-2
victory.
Leamington
had 16 shots in the third period compared to the
Predators seven.
Mark Foley
got his third start of the season for Lambton
Shores, making 35 saves in the loss. Foley has not
won this season.
The
Predators return to action on Sunday, traveling to
St. Thomas to take on the Stars.
