The Petrolia Squires took a 4 - 2 loss in Tavistock on Saturday night. The Squires scored their both goals in the first period on the powerplay with Kyle Quinn and Brad Hull each scoring singles. Cody Hall of Tavistock scored a single in the first. First period ended with the Squires leading 2 - 1.
The Squires continue to lead 2 -1 after a scoreless second period.
In the third the Royals scored three unanswered goals with Kyle Roes scoring the tying goal and Jeff Roes scoring the game winner. The final goal was scored on the powerplay with Trent Brown scoring and to secure the win.
Tavistock out shot the Squires 36 - 29 and went 1 for 7 on powerplay opportunities. The Squires scored the 2 on 5 chances.
Doug Groenesteg earned the win in net for Tavistock, Squires netminder Brad Holborough took the loss.
The Squires are back at home on Fri Nov 25 when they host the Monkton Wildcats at the Greenwood Recreation Centre at 8:00 pm.
