Point Edward Atom Blackhawks remain undefeated

The Point Edward Atoms were in Mt. Brydges on Saturday and came away with a 5 - 0 shut out win.

In the first period the Blackhawks went up 2 - 0.  Jonathon King started the scoring within the first minute of the game with assists from Jared Henry and Jeff Horner.  Shaun McDermott added to the score sheet a short time after with a goal that was assisted by Jonathon King and Hunter Terpstra. 

The second period was quiet with no goals but not without strong chances from both sides with Luke Crombeen standing on his head in net for Point Edward.

Not far into the 3rd period the Blackhawks started again with Jaxon Lucas scoring, assisted by Matthew Davis and Nicolas Robson.  Shaun McDermott went on and scored the fourth goal and his second goal of thte game with the help from Cole Whitworth and Owen Shearon.  Not without the strong play from Mt. Brydges Justin Waun finished off the period and game with a final goal assisted by Rian Dinyer and Jeff Horner, and earning Luke Crombeen the shutout.

The team is now 5 - 0 for the season and look to continue their winning ways when they host South Huron/Exeter on Saturday Nov 12 at 5:00 pm at the Point Edward Arena.
