Flyers drop fifth in a row

Alvinston, ON - The Alvinston Flyers have lost five straight and have picked up two points in those five games, as they fall the Wheatley on Friday 2-1.

Alvinston held the opening lead after the first period, as Jake McPhail scored on the powerplay to make it a 1-0 game.

But in the second period, Jesse Martin would get a powerplay goal 3:21 into the second to tie it at 1-1. Austin Fontaine would score later in the second period in what would be the eventual game winning goal.

Alvinston would put 12 shots on net in the third, put Marc Tremblay would make all 12 stops as part of his 30 in the game to keep the victory for the Sharks. James Morreau had the start for the Flyers and made 30 saves in the loss.

The Flyers will have a week off before their next game against Blenheim.
