Lambton Shores, ON - Matt Beaudoin had a hat-trick
against the Lambton Shores Predators, as the LaSalle
Vipers defeated the Predators 5-4 in a shootout
Sunday night.
Beaudoin
had the first two goals of the game with the first
coming on the power play, as the Vipers jumped out
to a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period.
Lambton
Shores would come back, as Ferdinando Colella would
score on the power play a minute into the period to
cut the lead in half, and Corey Pawley would score
the tying goal six minutes later to tie it 2-2. But
the Predators would not get out of the period with
the tie, as Ryan Speers would score on a power play
to give the Vipers a 3-2 lead.
In the
third, the Predators would tie it again as Ryan
Rontondi would score his first of the game. But
Beaudoin would add his hat-trick goal 14 seconds
later as the Vipers retook the lead. But Rontondi
would get his second of the period and send the game
into overtime and shootouts.
LaSalle
would trail after four shooters, but Ryan Speers and
Dylan Denomme would score on their next shots and
give the Vipers the victory.
Brandon
Campbell made 24 saves in the loss for the
Predators.
Lambton
Shores will travel to London on Wednesday before
hosting Sarnia on Friday and Chatham on Saturday.
