Lambton Shores, ON - Matt Beaudoin had a hat-trick against the Lambton Shores Predators, as the LaSalle Vipers defeated the Predators 5-4 in a shootout Sunday night.

Beaudoin had the first two goals of the game with the first coming on the power play, as the Vipers jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the end of the first period.

Lambton Shores would come back, as Ferdinando Colella would score on the power play a minute into the period to cut the lead in half, and Corey Pawley would score the tying goal six minutes later to tie it 2-2. But the Predators would not get out of the period with the tie, as Ryan Speers would score on a power play to give the Vipers a 3-2 lead.

In the third, the Predators would tie it again as Ryan Rontondi would score his first of the game. But Beaudoin would add his hat-trick goal 14 seconds later as the Vipers retook the lead. But Rontondi would get his second of the period and send the game into overtime and shootouts.

LaSalle would trail after four shooters, but Ryan Speers and Dylan Denomme would score on their next shots and give the Vipers the victory.

Brandon Campbell made 24 saves in the loss for the Predators.

Lambton Shores will travel to London on Wednesday before hosting Sarnia on Friday and Chatham on Saturday.
