Kitchener, ON - The Sarnia Sting were held to one goal on the road, as the Kitchener Rangers handed the Sting their third loss of the weekend with 4-1 defeat.

Kitchener opened the scoring in the first as Radek Faksa scored his 14th of the season for the 1-0 first period lead.

Ben Fanelli made it a 2-0 lead in the second period, scoring his first of the season. Sarnia would get on the board and cut the lead in half as Reid Boucher scored his 15th of the season on the power play. But the Rangers wouldn't be finished in the second as Tobias Rieder scored his 20th of the season to restore the two goal lead.

Michael Catenacci would score in the opening minutes of the third period to end the scoring as the Rangers finish with a 4-1 win.

It was Sarnia's third loss of the weekend, and the Sting only picked up a single point in a shootout loss on Thursday.

Brandon Hope got the start against the Rangers and made 24 saves in the loss.

Nail Yakupov was again not in the line up for the second straight game.

Sarnia is on the road next week in Peterborough on Thursday and in Oshawa on Friday before returning home to face the Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon.
