Kitchener, ON - The Sarnia Sting were held to one
goal on the road, as the Kitchener Rangers handed
the Sting their third loss of the weekend with 4-1
defeat.
Kitchener
opened the scoring in the first as Radek Faksa
scored his 14th of the season for the 1-0 first
period lead.
Ben
Fanelli made it a 2-0 lead in the second period,
scoring his first of the season. Sarnia would get on
the board and cut the lead in half as Reid Boucher
scored his 15th of the season on the power play. But
the Rangers wouldn't be finished in the second as
Tobias Rieder scored his 20th of the season to
restore the two goal lead.
Michael
Catenacci would score in the opening minutes of the
third period to end the scoring as the Rangers
finish with a 4-1 win.
It was
Sarnia's third loss of the weekend, and the Sting
only picked up a single point in a shootout loss on
Thursday.
Brandon
Hope got the start against the Rangers and made 24
saves in the loss.
Nail
Yakupov was again not in the line up for the second
straight game.
Sarnia is
on the road next week in Peterborough on Thursday
and in Oshawa on Friday before returning home to
face the Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon.
