andrew brethauer November 19th, 2011

Kingsville, ON - The tough times continue for the Alvinston Flyers, as they lost their second of the weekend 4-2 to the Kingsville Comets Saturday night.

Kingsville had the first period lead as Andrew Meloche scored on the powerplay for the early lead.

The comets would extend the lead to two goals as Mark Belanger would open the period with a goal to make it 2-0. But two minutes later, Dylan Lightfoot would respond for the Flyers and cut the lead in half with a powerplay goal. Kingsville though would respond with another goal, as Jeff Pillon restored the two goal lead.

In the third, Alvinston would again cut it to one, as Joe Archer scored at 13:08 in the third. But 41 seconds later, Meloche would get his second of the game to seal the victory for the Comets, despite Alvinston out shooting them 34-25.

James Morreau made 21 saves in the loss.

Alvinston is back in action Sunday against Belle River in Alvinston.
