Kingsville, ON - The tough times continue for the
Alvinston Flyers, as they lost their second of the
weekend 4-2 to the Kingsville Comets Saturday night.
Kingsville
had the first period lead as Andrew Meloche scored
on the powerplay for the early lead.
The comets
would extend the lead to two goals as Mark Belanger
would open the period with a goal to make it 2-0.
But two minutes later, Dylan Lightfoot would respond
for the Flyers and cut the lead in half with a
powerplay goal. Kingsville though would respond with
another goal, as Jeff Pillon restored the two goal
lead.
In the
third, Alvinston would again cut it to one, as Joe
Archer scored at 13:08 in the third. But 41 seconds
later, Meloche would get his second of the game to
seal the victory for the Comets, despite Alvinston
out shooting them 34-25.
James
Morreau made 21 saves in the loss.
Alvinston
is back in action Sunday against Belle River in
Alvinston.
