Owen Sound, ON - the Lambton Shores Predators earned
their 10th win of the season with a 6-2 victory over
the Owen Sound Greys.
Lambton
Shores had two goals quickly in the first, as
Brendon Merritt scored 5:14 into the game, followed
by Trevor Ladd 1:20 later, giving the Predators a
2-0 lead. Owen Sound would get one back on the
powerplay to cut the lead in half, but Lambton
Shores would still come out with the lead in the
first period.
But that
lead wouldn't last long, as 23 seconds into the
second Zac Coulter would tie the game.
The
Predators would regain the lead again in the second,
as Ryan Trottier would score midway through the
period to put the Predators back in front 3-2. Corey
Pawley would make it a two goal game with his late
second period goal, as Lambton Shores again gets out
of the period with the lead.
In the
third, the Predators would add on two more, as Kody
Ryan would make it 5-2, and Kyle Brothers would add
a powerplay goal late in the third, for the 6-2
final.
Justin
Tugwell made 11 saves on 13 shots in 20 minutes of
work, while Brandon Campbell made all 19 saves and
got the victory.
Lambton
Shores returns home on Saturday to face Stratford.
