Mississauga, ON - The Sarnia Sting built a three
goal lead heading into the third period and held on
against the Mississauga St. Michaels Majors to come
away with a 4-2 victory Sunday afternoon.

Yakupov got his 13th goal of the season to start the
scoring in the first, and would also pick up two
assists in the second period on a powerplay goal by
Craig Hottot and a late second period goal by
Anthony DeAngelo, as the Sting built a 3-0 lead
through the first two periods.
Mississauga would cut the lead down to one after
Dylan DeMelo scored on the powerplay, and Jamie Wise
added a powerplay goal as well midway through the
period.
But Brett
Ritchie would re-establish the two goal lead with
his 6th goal of the season, as the Sting earn the
road victory.

With the
victory Sarnia remains in first place of the West
Division, one point up on Plymouth, but the Sting
have two games in hand on the Whalers.
Sarnia
will have a busy week next weekend, as they return
home for a Thursday home game against Kitchener,
followed by a home-away series with Saginaw starting
with the home game in Sarnia on Friday, and away on
Saturday.
