Andrew Brethauer November 13th, 2011

Strathroy, ON - The Sarnia Legionnaires got back into the win column with a victory over the Strathroy Rockets Saturday night, winning their first since their 11 game win streak was ended a week before.

Davis Brown, a Sarnia Sting draft pick started the scoring for the Rockets in the first, as goal action didn't begin to the end of the period. But fellow Sarnia Sting players dropped down to Jr. B would also get on the score sheet, as Nathan Mater and Justice Dundas would get a goal each to put the Legionnaires in front 2-1 after the first.

In the second, Strathroy would tie the game on the powerplay as Greg Milner scored, followed by Derek Nap and Matt Ross, as the Rockets scored three to put themselves ahead 4-2.

But Sarnia would battle back, and Jesse Drydak would help with a goal late in the second, and follow that up with a goal in the first two minutes of the third to tie it at 4-4.

Sarnia would take the lead as Mooretown Flags call up player Jeff Schroeter would get the game winning goal in his first game of the season with the Legionnaires, as Sarnia snaps their two game losing skid with a 5-4 victory.

Kyle Washer got the victory with 27 saves.

Sarnia returns to action on Thursday, as they host Guelph.
