Alvinston, ON - After six game winless streak,
the Alvinston Flyers defeated Wallaceburg 5-4
Saturday night.
Alvinston
jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead in the first period,
as Clint Rose and Ben Arseneault opened the scoring
with powerplay goals each, followed by Joe Archer
with a goal for three goals in the first nine
minutes of player.
Jeff Nolfo
would then bring the Lakes back into the game, as he
scored one goal in the middle of the first period,
and followed it up with two in the second period,
including a powerplay goal, to make it a 3-3 game
after two periods.
But in the
third, Dan Warner would put Alvinston back in front
on the powerplay just 27 seconds into the period.
Brett Dalton would follow it up later to put
Alvinston in front by two, but two minutes later,
Justin Whitson would cut the lead back down to one.
The Lakers would not be able to find the back of the
net, and Alvinston would hang on for the 5-4
victory.

Morreau made 39 saves for the victory. Alvinston
next heads to Dresden on Friday, November 18th.
