Sting start road swing with loss to Attack

Owen Sound, ON - Owen Sound would score four straight goals between the first and third period to open up a 4-1 lead on the Sarnia Sting, as the Attack take a victory over Sarnia 5-2, in the Sting's first road game of the weekend.

Charlie Sarault started the scoring 40 seconds into the first period, scoring shorthanded to give the Sting a 1-0 lead.

But Zach Nastasiuk would respond just over two minutes later to tie the game at 1-1 after the first period.

In the second Kurtis Gabriel would score his first of the night late in the period, followed up by Artur Gavrus with under a minute remaining in the second period for the 3-1 lead. Gabriel would add his second of the night to start the third period, as the Attack took the 4-1 lead.

Ludvig Rensfeldt would score his 8th of the season on the powerplay to get Sarnia back on the board, ut Keevin Cutting would finish it with his second of the season, as Sarnia falls 5-2 to Owen Sound.

Brandon Maxwell made 32 saves in the loss, while 12 of the Sting players had a negative plus/minus.

Sarnia is back in action on Sunday afternoon, as they travel to Mississauga.
