- The St. Clair Colts will defend their Jr. and Sr.
boys volleyball titles on Friday at Lambton College,
as both teams won their Tuesday afternoon playoff
match ups to advance.
In junior
action, St. Clair continued their remarkable season
by defeating the Northern Vikings 3-1. They will
take on St. Christopher's in a rematch of last years
final, as the Cyclones defeated St. Francois-Xavier
3-2 to advance to Lambton College for the finals.
St. Clair had a 13-1 record in the regular season,
while St. Chris had a 12-2 record.
In the
senior playoffs, St. Clair defeated St. Chris 3-0,
while the Northern Vikings defeated LCCVI 3-0 to set
up the senior finals. Northern had a 10-0 record
throughout the regular season, while the Colts had a
7-3 record.
St. Clair
has won 9 championships since 2000-01, and they will
be going for their fifth straight.
The junior
game goes at 6:00pm with the senior game goes at
8:00pm at Lambton College.
