Jr. Sting AAA Peewee fall to Jr. Rangers
sarniasports.com  November 22th, 2010

The Jr. Sting were at home against Kitchener on Saturday afternoon wanting to extend the winning ways to two games.

But it was the Jr. Rangers who came out strong early and scored on the first shift of the game. The referees then injected their will on the game kicking out both a Kitchener player and a Lambton player on questionable hitting from behind calls. Lambton re-grouped and had a number of chances to even it up but were not able to convert on the power play. Kitchener increased the lead to 2-0 scoring in the last minute of the period.

The referees continued to call it tight and Kitchener picked up four minor penalties in the second period and gave Lambton a chance on a 5 on 3 but they were not able to put on past the goal-keeper for the Jr. Rangers. Kitchener was able to score on a power play opportunity they had to increase the lead to 3-0 after period two.

Max Steeves gave the Jr. Sting some life early in the third period, scoring after a nice effort from Nash Nienhuis. The Jr. Sting buzzed around the net and hit a couple of posts in attempting to claw their way back into the game but to no avail, Kitchener scored on the power play late in the third to make it a 4-1 final.

Max Steeves had the only goal, Nash Nienhuis the only assist. Ethan Hunt was in net.
