Although the Squires gave up a quick goal early, the were still able to come away with a victory in a 6-4 win over Tavistock.
The quick goal came forty-three seconds into the game, but Petrolia was able to add three in the period. Dan Veenema would add a goal, while Aaron Brand and Mike Perry would add one each to put Petrolia up 3-1 at the end of the first.
Tavistock would tie the game as they scored two in the second period to tie the game at three But Petrolia would add a late power play goal but Scott McPhail to put them back up by one at the end of the second. Petrolia would take a two goal lead at the start of the third, as Kyle Hills scored to make it 5-3. Tavistock would add one bring them within one, but Scott McPhail would add his second of the game to give the Squires a 6-4 victory.
The Squires next play Saturday November 20th at home again Milverton.
