Cyclones shut out Eagles in first regular season win
Andrew Brethauer November 18th, 2010

Coming off a loss to the Northern Vikings on Tuesday, North Lambton Eagles took on the St. Christopher Cyclones in their second game of the LSSAA boys hockey regular season. Unfortunately, after their 6-2 loss to Northern, they got shut out by the Cyclones 5-0.

Adam Wammes got the scoring started for the Cyclones, after the Eagles had problems keeping control of the puck. Wammes redirected a point shot to put the Cyclones up 1-0. The Cyclones would send a barrage of shot on net, but the Eagles were able to get away with just a single goal allowed in the first.

The Cyclones in the second would show off their passing ability, as the Cyclones moved the puck around and got it onto the stick of Cory Pawley who put the Cyclones up 2-0.

Keegan Brandon would make it 3-0 after receiving a pass and waiting out the goalie to slide it in on the short side. And Christian Savo would make it 4-0 after a power play goal slips past the Eagles keeper. The Eagles were not able to keep the puck in the Cyclone zone long enough to get many scoring chances, and when they did, goaltender Pat Brennan was there to shut the door and preserve the shut out for his first of the season.

Pawley would add another goal to make it 5-0, as the Cyclones had the Eagles their second loss to open the regular season.

St. Christopher's will take on SCITS on Monday, 22 2010, while the Eagles take on LCCVI and try and earn their first win of the season.
