The Sarnia lady Sting Midget AA team is moving it's way up the standing with their 5th straight win in league play. Defeating the first place, and unbeaten Bluewater Hawks 3-1.
Sarnia opened the scoring on a well earned goal lifted over the net minders shoulder by Jillian Rops. Megan Moore and Karly Dobbin both assisted on play. Shortly after the Hawks would tie things, and it would remain that way until late in the third period when Marlowe Pecora would fire one in the back of the net on a perfect pass from Sierra Butler. In the final minutes of the game with Bluewaters goalie pulled, Karly Dobbin would feed a perfect pass up the middle to find Jillian Rops wide open. She finished things off with an empty net goal and her second of the game.
Cassie Kerrigan got the well deserved win for Sarnia.
The Sting have two away games this weekend. They travel to Chatham on Saturday afternoon, and Brantford on Sunday evening.
