Predators give up two, two goal leads in loss to Stars

After a 13-3 loss to St. Mary's the night before, the Lambton Shores Predators took on second place St. Thomas in their last match of the weekend. The Predators had the lead going into the third period, but unfortunately were not able to hold the stars, and gave up three goals in the final period to lose 5-4.

Adam Arseneault opened the scoring the Predators in the first, scoring the periods lone goal. Lambton Shores had seven shots in the period compared to St. Thomas 14, but Mark Foley was able to keep the door closed for the Predators. Arsenault would add his second on the game 5:50 into the second period, giving the Predators a 2-0. But St. Mary's would get both goals back, as Thomas Kohler scored on the power play and Kevin Zacharuk added an unassisted goal. But Arseneault would put the Predators up by one again with his second of the period and third of the night on a penalty shot, to give the Predators a 3-2 lead heading into the first. Lambton's two goals came on only four shots compared to St. Thomas 17.

Lambton Shores would open up another two goal lead as Corbin Bean would score early in the third. But much like the last lead, the Predators would give up two goals to Brad Martin and Drew Collinson. The Predators would not be able to go ahead this time, as Brett Hope would add the Star's third of the period and eventual game winner, to give the Stars a 5-4 victory.

Lambton shores was out shot 46-24 despite having a two goal lead twice in the game. With the victory, St. Thomas leap frogs London for first place in the Western Conference, while Lambton Shores remains in last.

Their next game goes Saturday, November 20th in a rematch against the Stars, this time at home.
