Petrolia Squires top Pirates with Polera hat trick

Jason Polera had another hat trick and an assist to help the Petrolia Squires top the Goderich Pirates 8-6. After the first, the Squires would lead by one. Each team could only get one goal in the second period as well, as Jason Edgar would score the Petrolia. 

Petrolia would jump out to a three goal lead early, as Polera would score his second and third goal of the night. The Pirates came back to score two to come to within one, and Derek Vanveller would put the Squires up by two again with his goal late in the third.

The Pirates would add a late goal with thirty seconds to go on the power play, but the Squires would add one more goal with the empty net to seal the victory.

JJ Martin would have three assists in the game, while Carson Simpson would also have a three point night with a goal and two assist.

Petrolia's next home game is Friday, November 19 against Greenwood Rec.
