At 11:00 the Bluewater Power Titans defeated the
ANWIS Heat by a score of 41 to 18. In this one-sided
tilt, the Titans took control early after forcing
several interceptions that resulted in the offence
putting points on the board. The Heat, not done,
finally found their stride in the second half and
while slowing the Titan scoring, could not find the
end zone often enough to close the distance. Scoring
for the Titans were Bryan Weaver, Jason Cain and
Russell Pettipiece. For the Heat, majors were scored
by Joe Mason and Barry McGann.
In the other 11:00 game, it was a close game between
the Lambton Metal Service Rampage and Phoenix's
Phoenixes for 40 minutes but in the second half, it
was all Rampage as they walked away with a 34-13
victory. Scoring for the Rampage were Corey Johnson,
Andrew Bain and Don Gooding while majors for the
Phoenix were scored by Phil Veale and Andrew Veale.
In the 1:00 game, the Titans played their second
game of the day against the Onsite Sportswear Power
Champs. In this see-saw battle, while the Titans
never lost the lead, it was only late in the 4th
quarter before the Titans secured the victory by a
final score of 34-20. With only one regular season
game left for the Titans, they have all-but secured
the first place spot in the post-season. Scoring for
the Titans were Jim Grasse, Bryan Weaver, Teppa
Wettergreen and big Travis Will. In the losing
cause, Power Champs majors were scored by Henry
Mejia, Jeff Vandervies, Chad Percira.
November 14 games will feature the Bluewater Power
Titans, who will try to go undefeated in 2010
regular season, against Phoenix's Phoenixes at 11:00
while the Lambton Metal Service Rampage will battle
for 2nd place against the Onsite Sportwear Power
Champs at 1:00. All games in the Sarnia Flag
Football Association are played at Lansdowne Park in
Sarnia.
Previous scores from the week prior included a 44-26
victory for the Onsite Sportswear Power Champs over
the ANWIS Heat, and a 40-38 close victory for the
Titans over the Rampage. |
