The
Tavistock Royals were able to find the back of the
net three times in the third period to give them the
one goal win over the Petrolia Squires.
The Squires held the lead after the first, with
goals from JJ Martin and Carson Simpson on the power
play. Tavistock would add one in the period late to
make it a 2-1 game. Tavistock would tie the game in
the second, as the Squires who had nine goals the
night before, were not able to slip any passed the
Royals netminder.
Tavistim
would take a two goal lead, scoring quickly in the
third, and adding another on the power play. The
Squires Jason Polera, who had a hat trick the night
before, would make it a one goal game with his goal
at 16:15, but two minutes later Tavistock would
retake their two goal advantage. JJ Martin would his
second of the game late in the third, but it
wouldn’t be enough as the Squires fall to the Royals
5-4.
