The Vikings
already had a
twenty-two point
lead heading
into the second
half of the
LSSAA Senior
Boys match up
against North
Lambton, and
they didn't back
down, as they
defeated the
Eagles 67-36 in
front of a home
crowd.
Northern got big
numbers out of
Ayterhoff, as
#25 put up six
points to help
put the Vikings
up even more on
the Eagles. The
Vikings held
control for the
quarter, scoring
eighteen points
in the half
compared to
North Lambton's
eight. The
Eagles could not
get the ball to
drop, and found
it hitting the
backboard and
bouncing out of
the rim multiple
times, only for
the Vikings to
move it down the
court and put it
in the basket
for points.
In the fourth,
Mike Lucier
began to take
control for the
Eagles, scoring
eight points in
the quarter,
including
an inbound play
in which the
ball was tossed
over the back of
backboard, and
Lucier slammed
it down. The
play even got
applause from
the Vikings
bench.
Unfortunately it
wasn't enough to
get the Eagles
back into the
game, as
multiple Vikings
found the net
and pushed their
total to the
final 67.
Northern takes
on St. Clair who
also won on
Thursday night,
while North
Lambton is home
to St.
Christopher's.
