St. Patrick held a 19-11 lead at the half against St. Christopher's and didn't relinquish it as they went on to defeat the Cyclones 38-27 in Midget Boys Basketball season opener.

St. Christopher's could only muster two points in the third quarter, while St. Patrick's added seven more to take a 26-13 lead. The Irish got put backs from beating out the Cyclones on rebounds, and were able to keep control for most of the quarter, moving the ball around the perimeter trying to kill of the clock.

Sullivan for St. Patrick's would get a pass from a steal and lay up for two to start the fourth, but the Cyclones hung in, getting ten points off free throws in in close boards. But the Irish would put up twelve in the fourth quarter to secure their victory.

St. Patrick's next plays LCCVI on Thursday, while the Cyclones travel to North Lambton to take on the Eagles.
