The Wallaceburg Lakers lost their shutout in the third period to the Mooretown Flags, but still managed to get a 3-1 on Monday Night.

Wallaceburg opened the first by sending shots on net, and playing solid defence. They outshot the Flags 16-4 in the first period and got a goal from Brandon Butler to make it a 1-0 game heading into the second.

Mooretown could only get three shots on net in the second period, not properly testing Matt Berglund. The Lakers would get another goal midway through the second as Tyler Billins but in his seventh of the year for a 2-0 Lakers lead after the second.

Wallaceburg would add another early in the third to go up 3-0, as Sam Jasmin put one passed Jordan Gladwish. Mooretown would spoil the shutout for the Lakers as Mike Burns added his eighteenth of the season, but the Lakers held their lead and took the victory.

With the victory Wallaceburg improves to 18-3-1 with a perfect home record. They will take on Dresden at home on Wednesday, December 1st.

Mooretown is not able to make any points up on the Lakers and still sits in second with a 10-10-2 record. They will take on Blenheim on Wednesday as well.
