Second period woes for Alvinston Flyers
Andrew brethauer November 30th, 2010

The Alvinston Flyer's got an amazing performance from Matt Ferguson in the first period, stopping all twenty-six shots sent his way, but all five shots on net in the second beat the goalie to give Wheatley a 5-0 lead on route to a 7-2 victory.

Wheatley got things started quickly in the second with two goals in under two minutes. The Sharks would add another on the powerplay and another late in the period for a 5-0 lead. They would make it 6-0 after they scored to start the third period before Chris Edwards could score for the Flyers to put them on the boards. Wheatley would get the goal back to make it 7-1, but Dan Warner would add one more for the Flyers.

With the loss, the Flyers remain a point back of Mooretown in the North Division. They will take on 4th place Blenheim on Friday, December 3rd in Alvinston.
