overtime, but
still got the
victory over
Clinton 7-6. The
Squires held a
three goal lead
after the first
period, with
Scott McPhail
getting two
goals, one on
the powerplay
and one
shorthanded,
while Scott Hull
added a
powerplay goal
of his own.
The second
period would see
seven goals pass
the goal line,
as Clinton would
put in four
goals in, while
Petrolia would
get three more,
to move their
lead to 6-4.
Jason Polera
scored twice in
the period for
the Squires
while Kyle Gould
add a single.
But the Squires
would not be
able to solve
the goalie in
the third
period, but
Clinton was able
to put it past
the Squires
keeper twice to
tie the game at
six all, sending
the game into
overtime.
Scott Hull would
get the overtime
winner on the
powerplay to
give the Squires
the 7-6 win.
