Sarnia Midget AA
Lady Sting
grabbed first
spot in the
league after a
pair of wins the
weekend of the
20th, 21st. Both
were away games
with Sarnia
travelling to
Wapole Island on
Saturday to take
on the Chatham
Outlaws. Despite
outplaying the
Outlaws, Sarnia
found themselves
down 1-0 halfway
through the 2nd
period, but
Marlowe Pecora
would tie things
up with help
from her line
mates, Sierra
Butler and Emily
Williams. The
hot line would
also pick up the
win for the
Sting, as Sierra
Butler would let
a hard shot go,
finding the back
of the net.
Marlowe Pecora
got the only
assist. Erika
Sullivan played
a strong game in
net for the
Sting.
Sunday Sarnia
would travel to
Brantford for a
late evening
game. The Sting
played very
well, but came
up against a
very hot goalie.
After much
persistence
around the net
Sierra Butler
would get the
only Sting goal
and win it for
Sarnia. Marlowe
Pecora picked up
the assist.
Cassie Kerrigan
earned a very
well deserved
4th shutout of
the season.
