The Point Edward
Blackhawks had a
mid-week game in
Alvinston
against the East
Lambton Eagles,
delivering a
17-0 win over
the home squad.
Point Edward
scored 3 in the
first, 7 in the
second, and 7 in
the third as
they powered
through the
game.
The coaches
allowed players
to play out of
position to gain
experience
outside of their
comfort zone.
The first period
saw the boys
feeling out
their new spots
and new
linemates. As
the game wore
on, the boys
settled in and
started to get
their game
together.
A solid
defenceman like
Hunter Terpstra
had an
opportunity to
play up as
forward and
notch a 3-point
game, scoring
his first goal
of the season!
Another
defenceman who
made the move to
forward was
Ethan Pereira,
who scored a hat
trick in a
4-point night.
Cole Whitworth
scored a hat
trick and Corson
Young scored
5-points (2G,
3A).
The team has a
bye this
weekend, leading
into a busy
December
schedule and
their annual
trip to the John
Henry Tournament
in Strathroy.
