The
Dresden Jr Kings took on the Essex 73’s Friday night
at the Dresden Arena, but unfortunately the second
period was not what they were looking for. Essex
opened up the scoring in the first with a goal by
Jordan Brohman. Brohman would add a second goal in
the second period as part of a three goal streak
before Josh Beatty scored for the Kings.
But Essex
would go on another three goal streak, getting goals
from Tanner Gallant, Mike Roach and Adam Dunmore to
take a 6-1 lead into the third. James Shelton would
add another goal for the Kings, but Dresden was not
able to overcome the five goal second period and
Essex took the game 6-2.
With the
victory Essex improves to 11-6-0 on the season,
while Dresden does not capitalize on a chance to
move up in the standings and stay with eleven points
with a 4-9-3 record. Dresden’s next game is against
Alvinston on Friday, November 12th.
