LSSAA results for May 2nd - 3rd
sarniasports.com may 3rd, 2011

LSSAA baseball found a one day break in the gloomy weather Sarnia has had for the past two weeks, and got its first league games in on Monday afternoon.

LCCVI walked away from Forest with a 14-0 victory over the North Lambton Eagles, while Drew Lanlois picked up the victory in the SCITS Blue Bombers 9-1 victory over the Northern Vikings.

Unfortunately Tuesday's match up between St. Clair and St. Chris was rained out.

But that didn't stop other LSSAA action as senior boys and girls soccer highlighted the day with six games on the schedule.

In girls soccer, Nick Parkes lead the St. Christopher's Cyclones with three goals, while Jenna Prevost, Faith Morden, Chelsee Pettit and Michelle Savo each scored singles in St. Christopher's 7-1 victory over LCCVI. Lindsay McGregor had the lone goal for the Lancers.

North Lambton shut out St. Clair 3-0, as Kelsey Pettigrew, Michaela VanKessel and Amy McIntyre picked up the single goals and Kerrie Dirven picked up the shutout.

Northern vs St. Patrick's has not been reported yet.

In boys soccer, North Lambton shut out SCITS 4-0. Dan O'Hagan had two goals while Bart Vermeer and Josh VanHannen picked up the other two goals in the Eagle victory.

Northern defeated St. Patrick's 3-0 as Danny Stewart had the hat-trick for the Vikings and Zach Roberts picked up the shutout.

And finally St. Chris blanked LCCVI 6-0 whith Oren Bell, Danielo Bucci, Mike Fazzalari, Ryan Greenwood, Thomas Moxley and Mark Spinozzi picking up the goals.

Wednesday will feature boys rugby action in both Junior and Senior divisions, as well as LCCVI taking on SCITS in boys baseball.
